Aurora Event Update

The Aurora Event Update is the post-launch content drop that expands the weather/mutation rotation, adds two new defensive items (one seed, one pet), and introduces a new sell mechanic that lets players gamble the proceeds of a sale for a double-or-nothing outcome. It also rolls out server-side integrity checks across all servers and restores the Daily Deals shop.

The update is named after its flagship feature: the Aurora Borealis weather event and the Aurora mutation it applies.

Aurora Borealis is a new night-time weather event. When it fires, it applies the Aurora mutation to growing crops in the server. Community reports put the duration at roughly two minutes, but that figure is not yet cross-verified.

The Aurora mutation is applied by the Aurora Borealis weather event. It is a sell-value multiplier on the affected crop.

The Aurora mutation multiplier is currently disputed across community sources. Different outlets publish different numbers, and we do not reproduce the conflicting figures here. See /mutations/aurora for the latest verified data and the full list of source conflicts.

Venom Spitter is a new Mythic-tier defensive seed introduced in this update. As a defensive plant, it functions on the night-stealing / defense side of the game rather than as a pure sell-value crop.

Bearis a new Mythic-tier defensive pet. Like Venom Spitter, it sits on the defense side of the game's day/night split (see /night-stealing/defense).

The Aurora Event Update added two new gear items. A small follow-up update on June 22 added a third, the Strawberry Sniper — covered here for convenience but detailed on its own page.

• Megaphone — a utility gear that plays a custom sound specified via a Roblox Sound ID. See /gears/megaphone.
• Player Magnet — a Mythic-tier gear. See /gears/player-magnet.
• Strawberry Sniper (added June 22) — fires strawberry projectiles that knock back players. See /gears/strawberry-sniper.

Double or Nothing is a new sell-side option hosted by NPC Steven. When a player chooses it, the proceeds of a sale are staked for a double-or-zero outcome — you either double the sale value or lose it. See /npcs for the NPC roster.

Server-side integrity checks were enabled across all servers in this update (previously they were not global). This is a back-end enforcement change rather than a player-facing feature.

Daily Deals returned with this update, re-adding the rotating deals slot to the shop.

Pet Server Teleporters were briefly added to the Robux store alongside this update and then removed shortly after launch. Community reporting attributes the removal to a likely unintended item issue, but that reasoning is single-source and not yet cross-verified.
