July 19 update added the Explorer teaser NPC (with a countdown pointing to August 1, hinting at the next major update), the Mega Egg (a Super egg that hatches Mega variants of standard Common-egg pets), the Mythic Seed Pack (a Mythic-tier seed bundle), Guild Brackets (global + local weekly rankings), and the weekly Tallest Plant guild competition. The exact obtainability of the Mega Egg and Mythic Seed Pack is still disputed across sources and is recorded as unconfirmed.

Grow a Garden 2 v1.15.0 adds the Star Fruit Super crop (315M Sheckles / 1899 Robux; 0.12% restock). Defensive night crop that periodically fires starlight beams and applies the new Glow mutation (70x) to adjacent crops.

Grow a Garden 2 v1.16.0 introduces the new Secret rarity tier and the Eclipse Bloom merge-only crop (Sun Bloom + Moon Bloom via Trowel). Harvesting an Eclipse Bloom triggers the Secret-type Eclipse weather event (~2 min) which can apply the Eclipsed mutation (80x).

Major content update introducing the Aurora Borealis night-time weather event, Aurora mutation, Venom Spitter defensive seed, Bear pet, Megaphone and Player Magnet gear, Double or Nothing sell mechanic with NPC Steven, and server-side integrity checks across all servers.
