Twenty-five pro tips drawn from the documented game data. Every tip cites a crop, mutation, pet, gear, or formula fact from the relevant data file — no generalities, no hearsay, no shortcuts.

Steps
- 1Farming tips (1–5)
- Carrot is the best day-one seed. The cheapest, fastest seed in the game. Nothing else comes close for the very first loop. (See /seeds/carrot for current numbers.)
- Multi-harvest crops are passive income. Once planted, they regrow without re-planting. Strawberry and Blueberry are the best early multi-harvest crops (see /values).
- Buy Trowel + Common Sprinkler on day one. Trowel lets you reposition crops; Common Sprinkler gives a small growth boost in radius. Together they are affordable within the first session. (See /gears.)
- Compute payback before buying. Formula:
buy_price / (base × avg_weight²). Higher payback cycles mean you are over-investing for your stage — model it in the calculator with real numbers. - Heavy crops beat high-base crops.Because weight is squared, a heavy crop's weight² factor can swamp a high base value. Compare Bamboo (high avg weight) vs a low-weight crop in the value calculator to see the gap.
- 2Mutation tips (6–10)
- Weather mutations are event-locked. Frozen, Electric, Shocked, Bloodlit, Starstruck come from weather events, and some (notably Frozen) are also community-reported via pets or freeze gear. Treat exact non-weather trigger behavior as community-reported.
- Variants are mutually exclusive. A crop can have Gold or Rainbow, not both. Per the A bundle, Rainbow beats Gold — though mutation multipliers have cross-source conflicts (see /mutations). Equip the Unicorn pet during Rainbow Moon to boost Rainbow chance.
- Stacked weather mutations compound. Community calculator models suggest stacking multiple weather mutations produces a large additive multiplier per the A bundle. Adding a variant multiplies on top. Treat the specific numbers as planning estimates, not confirmed mechanics. Exact per-event multipliers are listed on the mutations page.
- Ice Serpent applies Frozen via a community-reported pet trigger. Community-reported gear/pet triggers can apply Frozen outside Blizzard weather. Pair with a Gold/Rainbow crop for a community-reported ×14 multiplier on top of the variant.
- Weight is squared — favor heavy crops.A heavier crop's weight² factor can swamp a high base value. Weight ranges extend very high — badge data shows fruits reaching 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg, 50 kg, and even 100 kg (exact in-game weight ceilings are not publicly documented). Bamboo and Cactus are among the heaviest mid-tier crops (see /values).
- 3Pet tips (11–14)
- Deer is the default pet. Global growth speed boost. Rare. Pays for itself within hours. Equip most of the time. (See /pets for price.)
- Swap to Golden Dragonfly during Midas. Boosts Gold chance. Mythic. Swap back to Deer after the event ends.
- Swap to Unicorn during Rainbow Moon. Boosts Rainbow chance. Mythic. Swap back to Deer after the event ends.
- Ice Serpent doubles as defense. Applies Frozen to your plants AND freezes intruders. Super rarity — widely reported as the most expensive pet in the game.
- 4Gear tips (15–18)
- Sprinklers compound forever. A mid-tier sprinkler boosts growth in radius for the lifetime of your account. It is among the highest-leverage gear purchases. See /gears for current prices and multipliers.
- Pick the sprinkler tier that fits your budget. Each tier up gives a bigger growth multiplier at a higher cost. The exact ROI depends on current prices — model your upgrade path in the gear optimization guide.
- Trowel first, always. The single cheapest piece of useful gear in the game. Lets you reposition crops as your strategy evolves. (See /gears.)
- Lantern is a cheap useful Robux purchase. Portable light for night and Blood Moon events. Skip everything else unless you specifically want the playstyle.
- 5Weather tips (19–21)
- Maintain a permanent multi-harvest floor. Always have 4 plots of multi-harvest crops growing. This keeps plots eligible when weather events occur while you are offline.
- Plant long-grow crops during Rain. Rain boosts growth speed server-wide (see /weather for current duration). Long-grow-time crops planted as Rain starts benefit the most.
- Harvest after Special events, not during. A common community strategy is to wait until the event ends before harvesting, on the assumption that mutation rolls apply to growing crops; this behavior is not independently verified.
- 6Economy tips (22–25)
- No duplication exists. The formula is
base × weight² × mutation_multand it is enforced server-side. There is no shortcut outside normal gameplay. We never recommend third-party automation, unsafe tools, or rule-breaking tools. - Sam's stock chance matters more than rarity. A high-rarity seed at very low stock chance is rarer in practice than a mid-rarity seed at higher stock chance. Always check the
stock_chancecolumn on the seeds page. - Refresh Sam for Robux when the rotation is poor. If you have Sheckles to spend and the daily rotation is all low-rarity seeds, paying Robux to refresh can land you a Rare or Epic seed that is worth far more.
- Treat weather events as upside, not income. A steady passive floor beats a rare spike. Build your passive floor first (multi-harvest plots + pet auras + sprinklers); let weather events add the upside. (For concrete income math, model it in the calculator.)

Tips
The five highest-leverage plays
- Buy a Rare Sprinkler as soon as you can afford it.
- Equip Deer until you can afford Golden Dragonfly or Unicorn.
- Keep 4 multi-harvest plots growing at all times.
- Plant long-grow crops during Rain.
- Stack weather mutations during Special events.
The five worst plays
- Spending more than 10% of bankroll on a single seed.
- Buying gear before the next sprinkler tier.
- Harvesting during a Special weather event (community strategy: wait).
- Trusting "duplication" or "generator" offers.
- Selling immediately when an event starts (lose the mutation).
