This policy describes what data GAG2 Wiki — operated by The Garden Codex as an independent, anonymous publisher — collects and how it is used. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the site and improve it.

Data controller

The Garden Codex operates as an anonymous publisher; legal correspondence is handled via the email above. We do not publish a postal address or individual team-member names. All legal or data-protection notices sent to that mailbox are treated as received by the controller.

Summary

  • No accounts. There is no login; we do not collect names, emails, or passwords.
  • Analytics: when enabled, Plausible (cookieless, privacy-friendly). Aggregated page views only.
  • Advertising: when enabled, Google AdSense uses cookies. You can opt out via your browser or Google's ads settings.
  • No sale of personal data. Ever.

Analytics — Plausible

When Plausible analytics is enabled on this deployment, we use a self-hosted Plausible instance to count aggregated, anonymous page views. Plausible is cookieless and GDPR/CCPA compliant out of the box. It does not track individuals, does not use fingerprinting, and does not store personal data. If Plausible is not enabled on a given deployment, no analytics script is loaded at all.

Data collected by Plausible (when enabled) includes:

  • Page URL (path only, no query parameters we care about).
  • HTTP referrer.
  • Browser, OS, and country (derived from IP, then discarded).
  • Anonymous visit duration.

Advertising — Google AdSense

When Google AdSense is enabled on this deployment, we display ads via Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads; their privacy policies govern that data. If AdSense is not enabled on a given deployment, no AdSense script is loaded and no AdSense cookies are set.

What we do NOT collect

  • Names, emails, phone numbers, or any contact details.
  • Account credentials (there is no account system).
  • Precise location (Plausible derives country-level only).
  • Biometric or sensitive data.

Cookies

The only cookies set on this site come from Google AdSense (and Plausible does not use cookies). You can block all cookies via your browser; the site remains usable.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we collect no personal data directly, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our end. For data collected by AdSense, exercise your rights via Google's privacy controls.

Children's privacy

This site does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Roblox's own Terms apply to in-game activity.
