Black Dragon

Black Dragon's fire breath is the only ranged AoE defense in the dataset, which gives it a unique role in a layered defense: it handles clusters of invaders before they reach the plot, instead of waiting for them to enter melee range. That matters most when raiders arrive in groups — a single ground-target defender like Bear can only engage one raider at a time.

The trade-off versus Bee is cost and focus. Black Dragon is the premium Sheckle defense pet, so the buy decision is whether your plot is losing enough fruit to group raids to justify the outlay. On friendly private servers or low-traffic public servers the case is weak; on high-value plots that consistently attract group raids, Black Dragon is the area-defense layer that Bee cannot match.
