Werewolf mechanic

Fall Harvest World rewrites how stealing works at night. Instead of open PvP, one player per server becomes the Werewolf each night — the only one who can steal.

How the curse works

Nightfall transformation

When the sun sets in Fall Harvest World, one random player on each server is cursed into the Werewolf for that night cycle. The Werewolf moves faster than everyone else and is the only player who can stealfrom other players' plots during the night.

Passing the curse

Community guides report that you can end someone's Werewolf turn by hitting them with your shovel. Doing so is said to return them to human form and put you in the Werewolf role instead. The curse reportedly keeps changing hands throughout the night until day breaks.

Daylight resets

When day returns, stealing is locked again for everyone. The curse system restarts the next night with a new random player chosen.

Harvest Moon

There is a rare chance for a Harvest Moon to appear at night inside Fall Harvest World. It layers its own effects on top of the normal night cycle:

  • Reported sell multipliers — crops may sell for more (unconfirmed)
  • Reported growth speed boosts — plants may grow faster (unconfirmed)
  • Distinct from Garden Valley's Mega Moon (which only affects seed spawns)

The exact trigger probability and multiplier values are not yet confirmed and will be updated once verified.

Practical tips

Bring a shovel.Community guides describe the shovel as the way to end a Werewolf's curse, and therefore recommend carrying one. The mechanic is not yet independently verified — confirm in-game.

Watch for Harvest Moon.If it triggers, prioritize harvesting and selling while it's active.

Coordinate on your server. With everyone on the same night cycle, comparing notes on who has the curse is genuinely useful.

Don't auto-sell everything. Community guides report Pilgrim quests asking for specific crops (by count, rarity, or weight). Hold onto a few Common through Rare Maple crops for quest submissions.

Methodology

Source. Mechanic details from official patch notes (allthings.how) and community guides (pocket-codes, lootester). The shovel curse-transfer mechanic and Harvest Moon effects are community-reported and not yet independently verified; exact transformation rates and trigger probabilities are unconfirmed.

Scope. The Werewolf system only applies inside Fall Harvest World. Garden Valley retains its original night stealing mechanics (see the main stealing guide).
