Turtle's flat backpack-space boost changes the harvest loop more than it changes raw income. The extra slots mean longer harvest runs before you have to detour to sell, which matters most on large multi-harvest plots where you are picking many ripe crops per cycle — exactly the scenario where a sell detour costs the most missed harvest time.
The trade-off is the walk-speed penalty. Slower movement means each trip across the plot takes longer, which compounds over a long session. The honest comparison is Bunny: both Common-utility pets affect the harvest loop, but in opposite directions. Turtle lets you carry more per trip; Bunny lets you make trips faster. Pick Turtle for sprawling plots where sell detours dominate; pick Bunny for tighter plots where movement speed dominates.
Turtle's ability has a verified numeric breakdown:
- Backpack bonus: +10 slots
- Speed modifier: -2
Turtle has documented size/rainbow variant modifiers that stack additional backpack bonuses on top of the base value. Each modifier below is double-source attested; provenance is shown via the inline confidence badge.
- BIG:+50 backpackdouble-source
- MEGA:+100 backpackdouble-source
- Rainbow:+20 backpackdouble-source
The adopted value for backpack bonus is 10. The following sources disagree:
- RPS:10% (percentage)conflict
We adopt the value shown above because the other sources agree on a fixed numeric value rather than a percentage; see the source notes for full context.
Turtle is obtained from: 70,000 Sheckles (or map spawn). Map spawn (3.75% community-estimated spawn chance).
Turtle's ability (Lugs a heavy shell that adds +10 backpack space, but slows walk speed by 2) makes it most useful for inventory expansion (carry more seeds and crops per run).
