Frog

Frog's jump-height bonus is the cheapest navigation upgrade in GAG2. It helps you clear fences around your plot, reach elevated planters, and traverse multi-level terrain without taking the long way around. As the lowest-cost pet in the game, it is the default first companion for brand-new players who have not yet decided on a long-term pet strategy.

Where Frog underperforms: jump height is situational. On flat plots with simple fence layouts, the bonus rarely triggers, and Bunny's walk speed gives more consistent value. Pick Frog if you navigate complex terrain often; pick Bunny if your plot is mostly flat.

Frog is the cheapest entry into pet ownership. For players who just finished the first 10 minutes and have basic Sheckle income, Frog is a low-risk way to test the pet system before committing to a higher-tier pet like Deer. You will outgrow Frog quickly, but the cheap cost means the regret cost is also low.

Frog hatches from the Common Egg, the same pool as Bunny and Owl, so if you are rolling eggs rather than buying directly, you will likely end up with all three Common pets naturally.
