Common Sprinkler

The Common Sprinkler provides a small grow- speed boost to nearby plants. Because it is passive and area-based, its effective value scales with how many plants sit inside its coverage — a sprinkler on a near-empty plot does little, while the same sprinkler on a full plot adds up over many harvest cycles.

This is why the standard buy order is Common Watering Can first (single-target burst for the first few crops) and Common Sprinkler second, once the plot is full enough to make the passive boost worthwhile. See George's full inventory for the sprinkler options.

George sells several sprinkler tiers, and the Common Sprinkler is usually the first sprinkler new players consider — it is the entry tier of the category. Higher-tier sprinklers are mid- and late-game purchases that assume a fuller plot and a stable Sheckle income.

A common mistake is to upgrade the sprinkler before filling the plot. Any area-based bonus only helps plants actually inside its coverage, so fill first, upgrade second.
